Tiffany style lamp features a bright stained glass shade of flowers leaves and vines on a cast iron base. Hand crafted copper foil stained glass shade is mounted on a hand painted bronze/gold lamp base. Lamp base is 1 of a kind USA made.
Stained glass lamp shade is completely hand crafted using the classic copper foil technique developed by Louis Comfort Tiffany over 100 years ago.
Each piece of stained glass is cut out by hand.
The border edge of each glass piece is then hand wrapped in copper foil.
All the glass pieces are then assembled together into a lovely pattern much like a puzzle.
All joints inside and outside the lampshade are then artfully secured together by hand with a lovely raised bead of solder.
The soldered joints are then treated with an aged patina to match the lamp base.
Cast iron lamp base is USA made of a one (1) piece casting with embossed decorations and rich bronze finish with gold highlights.
