Electrical socket with threaded ring slips through any lamp shade that has 1 5/8" fitter hole. This large fitter hole is an industry standard size 1 5/8" wide commonly called SLIP UNO, EURO or NORD fitter. Available with or without turn knob.

Directions:
Remove threaded ring
Slip lamp shade over the electrical socket
Screw ring against the lamp shade to secure

The small end screws onto a typical lamp pipe/rod with industry standard thread size 1/8 ips, about 3/8" wide.
