Unique Tiffany lamp features an extremely heavy cast iron base highly decorated with embossed flowers supporting a lovely stained glass shade handcrafted in the old world copper foil method.
Stained glass lamp shade is completely hand crafted using the classic copper foil technique developed by Louis Comfort Tiffany over 100 years ago.
Each piece of stained glass is cut out by hand.
The border edge of each glass piece is then hand wrapped in copper foil.
All the glass pieces are then assembled together into a lovely pattern much like a puzzle.
All joints inside and outside the lampshade are then artfully secured together by hand with a lovely raised bead of solder.
The soldered joints are then treated with an aged patina to match the lamp base.
Heavy cast iron lamp base has embossed decorations with beautiful rich bronze finish and gold highlights.
This Unique lamp of fine quality is uncommonly heavy and made of thick cast iron for generations of enjoyment.
