Victorian Tiffany lamp features dome shape stained glass shade 18" wide embraced in elegant iron scroll work. Tiffany shade is mounted on a heavy wrought iron base with lovely scrolling iron flourishes. Tiffany lamp shade is handcrafted in the old world copper foil method and loaded with colorful flowers, designs and glass cabochon jewels with brass studs along the bottom perimeter. Stained glass lamp shade is completely hand crafted using the classic copper foil technique developed by Louis Comfort Tiffany over 100 years ago.
Each piece of stained glass is cut out by hand.
The border edge of each glass piece is then hand wrapped in copper foil.
All the glass pieces are then assembled together into a lovely pattern much like a puzzle.
All joints inside and outside the lampshade are then artfully secured together by hand with a lovely raised bead of solder.
