Vintage ship lamp is made of very heavy cast iron from early 1900s. This stunning antique lamp features a classic sailing frigate ship on a raging sea with bold details in the ship, sails and tempestuous ocean waves. A mica sheet attached behind the sails emits a dramatic amber light.
Mica is a natural mineral mined from the earth then formed into sheets for making dramatic lampshades. The mica sheet positioned behind the sails emits a warm dramatic light creating a subtle romantic atmosphere reminiscent of fireplace light.
Fine quality antique lamp is USA American made, restored with brand new vintage style rayon cord. The lovely antique Circle F socket from early 1900s was preserved and only the working inner portion was replaced.
Substantial cast iron lamp is beautifully hand painted and destined to be a conversation piece.
