WHAT TO SHIP:
Rather than shipping the entire shade, some customers prefer to ship an unbroken glass panel as a template.
Caution - Self installing is very tricky due to variations in glass and in the frame.
Glass holder tabs can also break off and need replacing.
We are happy to help any way.

PREP WORK:
USE MASKING TAPE ONLY except on outside of boxes.
CLEAR TAPE is very difficult to remove creating risks of further damage.
Slag shades (not Tiffany): On the inside of the slag shade apply MASKING TAPE (not clear tape) between adjoining glass panels to secure them.
Fill the inside dome cavity (Slag & Tiffany shades) to over flowing with soft packing material.
Over filling the shade cavity spreads the weight evenly over the entire shade.
Use plastic bag or masking tape to hold the over flowing packing in place.
USE MASKING TAPE ONLY to secure these packing materials.

PACKING STRATEGY - BOX WITHIN A BOX: Suspend your item in a smaller box suspended in larger box.
Small box should be at least 4" wider and 4" taller than item shipped.
Large box should be at least 4" wider and 4" taller than 1st box.

Suspend and center item in 1st box using 2" soft packing material on bottom, top and 4 sides.
Box should be filled and packed requiring light pressure to close the top lids.
Seal all 6 seams of box with clear tape. .

Suspend and center 1st box inside larger 2nd box.
Use 2" soft packing material on bottom of 2nd box, leave the sides empty.
Empty sides eliminates side shock being transferred inward.
Securely center the 1st box by tightly pack the 4 corners, leaving the sides empty.
Fill top of 2nd box with soft packing material.

Boxes should be packed requiring light pressure to close the top lids.
Seal all 6 seams of both boxes with clear tape.
