Our high quality Tiffany lamps are handcrafted with lovely colorful stained glass shades on heavy cast iron bases with beautiful rich bronze finishes.

Each stained glass shade is created by hand using the original Arts Crafts method made popular over 100 years ago by Louis Comfort Tiffany.

How Tiffany Lamps are Made: 

First an interesting design with all details including the shapes of each glass piece is drawn out on paper.
Next the colors of each glass piece is noted on the paper drawing design.
Then the drawings of each glass piece is cut out from the overall paper design by scissors.
Each paper piece is used as a template and is placed upon the corresponding glass color.
Each piece of stained glass is then cut out by hand using the paper template.
The borders of each glass piece is ground smooth.
The border of each glass piece is then framed by hand wrapping in copper foil.
The glass pieces are then assembled together into the lovely pattern much like a puzzle.
All joints inside and outside the lampshade are then soldered together.
Each joint is then carefully raised to create an artful bronze bead.
Soldered joints are then aged by patina treatments to match the lamp base.
Heavy cast iron lamp bases provide stability with beautiful rich bronze finishes.
